The Doctor's House - take time for a real vacation!

If you really want to experience Sozopol you have to immerse yourself in the city’s old quarter – with its panoramic sea views, souk-like cobbled streets, timber-clad houses and coastal rocks that had been rendered a wonderful golden-brown by the salty water. Perched on one such rock, known to the locals as Gazheli (or the ‘hanger’ in Greek) due to its curious shape, you will find the Doctor’s House.

This beautiful building, with its wooden façade, large French windows and spacious (20 sq. m.) balconies stands right above the city’s ancient fortification wall and the gate leading to the once Greek-owned Apollonia (present-day Sozopol). You can meet the sunrise here or bid the sunset goodbye, comfortably seated on one of the balconies that overlook the sea, or by taking the staircase at the side of the house and heading down to the rocky beach. The Doctor’s House deftly combines the artistic spirit of the ‘City of Salvation’and the comforts of modernity. Relaxation here is no longer a lost cause – you find yourself contemplating the sea-filled horizon, basking in the sun and enjoying the quiet that is only occasionally broken by the call of seagulls or neighbourly chit-chat.

The House’s unique location is but one of its many advantages. Its homely atmosphere, first class service, restaurant and the picturesque stone chapel right next to it guarantee you a memorable vacation.  The house offers 3 apartments, 1 studio and 8 twin rooms, all of which have a separate bathroom, cable TV, air-conditioning, radio, a fridge and balconies with sea views. The apartments and the studio are also equipped with a small kitchen. There are also four parking places available for guests.
